First solar eclipse of 2022 has been complete
On the 30th of April 2022 began the first solar eclipse of 2022.
A solar eclipse is a rare occurrence when the moon passes in front of the sun blocking the suns light.
Yesterday the solar eclipse was spotted in Antartica, parts of south America and the Pacific.
NASA warms viewers not to look directly at the eclipse, and wear eye protection to prevent accidents.
The next total solar eclipse will occur in 2024.
