Northrop Grumman to send a Cygnus cargo ship to the ISS

The cygnus NG-16 spacecraft has blasted off today at 23:01GMT to resupply the International space station (ISS).


The has been launched from pad 09A at Wallops Flight Facility, Virginia, USA.


Northrop Grumman are one of NASA's commercial partners and keep the ISS fully stocked with supplies. This spacecraft will have 8,200 pounds of equipment for the 65 member crew.


The spacecraft will spend a total of 2 days in space, getting to the ISS and back.
