The most powerful telescope ever has reached its final destination
Today the 24th of January 2022 is a historic day for astronomy as the most powerful telescope ever built has reached its final destination 30 days after being launched and is preparing to produce images.
Over the past 30 days it has deployed its sunshield and got prepared to be fully set.
The James Webb telescope is currently 1.5 million kilometers away from Earth, it will not orbit the Earth like most other telescopes.
The $10 billion project is going to produce images 100 times further than the 'Hubble Space Telescope'. It will be able to see into the depths of our universe and produce many new discoveries.
The telescope with its power will only spend 10-20 years in space before shutting down, but it will host many extra-terrestrial images that will revolutionise our history.
